The Doctor Who Club of Australia (DWCA) have announced the first 100 issues of the club fanzine, Data Extract, will be released as a collected volume:


The Doctor Who Fanzine Collection: Data Extract Issues 1 to 100 is available to purchase through Lulu.

The latest issue of the fan magazine Whotopia has been released and looks at the legacy of writer and Script Editor Robert Holmes

The Magazine is available in both a free-to-download PDF and can be purchased in hardcopy.

A fan produced audio adventure exploring one of the biggest ‘What Ifs…?’ in Doctor Who history has been released to coincide with the show’s 53rd anniversary.

Ken Campbell was the Time Lord who almost was when he lost out to Sylvester McCoy for the role of the Seventh Doctor in 1987.

In this new adventure, the actor finally claims the helm of time and space in an original, fan-made episode, written by long-time fan Tom Calderbank, that introduces a brand new companion, a new villain and the TARDIS’ elusive Eternity Room…

The Lost Doctor is available online for free.

Pencil Tip Publishing will be holding an Open Submission Day on July 31st for their new short-story collection, The Temporal Logbook II.

The Temporal Logbook II, is a Doctor Who themed short-story collection and the follow-up companion to 2015s highly successful collection The Temporal Logbook.

As with the original short-story collection, this new volume will feature twelve original stories by new and up-in-coming writers. All twelve television incarnations of the Doctor will be featured with a story dedicated to that particular incarnation.

The editors are seeking story proposals for the latest collection. To contribute a story proposal all you have to do is:

1. Submit a 1-2 page outline detailing the basic plot of your story and the characters featured
2. Provide your full name and email,
3. Include a brief bio telling us a bit about yourself

The editors will be accepting proposals on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 12:00pm Pacific Time to 12:00am Pacific Time only. (1900-0700 GMT)

The Temporal Logbook II will be published by Canadian publisher Pencil Tip Publishing, with proceeds from the publication being donated to a charity of their choice. Last year's publication benefited the Positive Living Society of British Columbia.

Publication has been set for 2017.

The Doctor Who Project [TDWP] is seeking story proposals to form part of a forthcoming season of short stories.

TDWP centers on the continuing adventures of an alternate Tenth Doctor and his current travelling companion Hannah Redfoot. Stories are published as part of an overall season that concentrates on delivering a collection of short stories that sees the Doctor facing new and original situations in time and space.

The stories have typically been anywhere from 12,000-40,000 words and have featured elements from the original 1963-89 television series as well as original creations developed by the writers. The stories are published as free downloadable PDF documents featuring a novel-like layout and specially created covers.

The project is looking for imaginative, original and entertaining stories that see the Doctor and his companion travel and experience the wonders of the universe.

Volume 2 of The unofficial Doctor Who Book Guide is currently being prepared and is looking for contributors.

The publishers are asking for short items, around 200 words each, on any fictional Doctor Who book that isn't part of the Target range.

Any profits from the project will go towards cancer research.

Following on from last year's design, the Doctor Who Appreciation Society have released a new Doctor Who themed Christmas card for the 2015 season, the profits of which are to be donated to the Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital Trust, whose vice president is sixth Doctor and the Society's own honorary president, Colin Baker.
