The second half of the 2011 series of Doctor Who premiered on Prime TV on Thursday evening with Let's Kill Hitler receiving 117,110 viewers according to unofficial overnight figures.

The first episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day also premiered on Prime at the beginning of this month with 119,440 viewers while Episode 2 dropped to 58,550 and Episode 3 slightly increased to 73,910 viewers.

Prime Evening News was the most watched programme of the day on Prime for the 1st, 8th and 15th of September.

Doctor Who Ratings
Figures released by BARB show Doctor Who: Night Terrors, was the 19th most watched programme of the week.

The episode was the 7th most watched programme on BBC Television.

ITV1's HD ratings helped Red and Black edge slightly ahead of Doctor Who, although Doctor Who outrated the game show for the period the programmes were in direct opposition

The figures do not include those watching on iPlayer.



Meanwhile episode eight of Torchwood, End of the Road had a final UK rating of 4.64 million viewers. It was the 39th most watched programme of the week.

The AI score for Episode Nine of Torchwood, The Gathering, was 85.

The BBFC have now certified all the episodes of Torchwood: Miracle Day, which also confirms the running time for the episodes:

Escape to L.A. 15 54m 50s contains infrequent strong violence and threat
The Categories of Life 12 51m 50s contains moderate violence and a gory moment
The Middle Men 12 51m 55s contains moderate horror, violence, threat and language
Immortal Sins 15 51m 51s contains strong bloody violence
End of the Road 15 52m 50s contains strong bloody violence and threat
The Gathering 12 53m 45s contains moderate violence
The Blood Line 15 53m 46s contains strong bloody violence and threat

The forthcoming boxed set will have an overall 15 certificate. Special features have yet to be classified.

Torchwood: Miracle Day is due to be released on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK on 14th November 2011.

Tonight sees the final episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day premiering in the United States, with The Blood Line being broadcast at 10:00pm ET on Starz; it will be repeated on the channel several times in the following week.

The Gathering: UK Overnight viewing figures

Torchwood:The Gathering achieved an average audience of 3.5 million viewers on BBC One and BBC One HD, according to unofficial overnight figures.

The penultimate episode in the Torchwood series had 14.7% of the audience share and was the 10th most watched programme of the day, very similar to the previous week

The first half of the programme faced strong opposition from Coronation Street, which had 6.7 million watching. The second half faced the game show Red and Black which managed 3.9 million against Torchwood. Celebrity Big Brother, which out rated Torchwood for its launch show three weeks ago, was down to 3.0 million viewers for its live final.

Final ratings, which include those who record the programme and watch it within seven days,will be released next week.
The broadcast of the episode on Starz on 2nd September achieved a total of 1.024m over its premiere and repeat showings (10pm/11pm); this was a slight drop over the previous week's End of the Road at 1.172m.

Let's Kill Hitler: Chart Position

Doctor Who RatingsFigures released by BARB show Doctor Who: Let's Kill Hitler, just missed out on a top ten place becoming the 11th most watched programme of the week.

The episode was the 6th most watched programme of the week on BBC Television. It was beaten in the charts by the two major soaps, EastEnders and Coronation Street, New Tricks and The X Factor, but out rated all editions of Emmerdale.

The figures do not include those watching on iPlayer, where over 1.2 million people accessed the episode within 7 days of the broadcast.



Meanwhile Torchwood: Immortal Sins had a final UK rating of 4.48 million viewers. It was the 32nd most watched programme of the week.

The AI score for Episode Eight of Torchwood, End of the World, was 84.

Torchwood:End of the Road achieved an average audience of 3.5 million viewers on BBC One and BBC One HD, according to unofficial overnight figures.

The figure was slightly up on last week. The main opposition came not from ITV1, which was showing the documentary, 9/11: Day that Changed the World which achieved an average of 5.5 million viewers during its 100 minute slot.

The eighth in the Torchwood series had 15.0% of the audience share and was the 10th most watched programme of the day.

As always the overnight figure is only half the story with the final ratings, which include those who record the programme and watch it within seven days, being released in 10 days time.

Episode Six of Torchwood: Miracle Day, The Middle Men, had a final official rating of 4.60 million viewers according to figures released by BARB.

The programme was the 18th highest rated on BBC One for the week.

The final result includes those who recorded the programme and watched it within 7 days. It does not include those watching on iPlayer.

Episode Seven, Immortal Sins, had an AI score of 81.
