Wednesday's BBC2 showing of Episode Six of Torchwood, Reset, was watched by an audience of 2.8 millionviewers, which was an 11.1% share of the total television audience. This episode had received its premiere on BBC3 the previous week, when it received an overnight of 807,000 viewers.

Episode Six of Torchwood Declassified (which, for the first time this year had its premiere on Wednesday, immediately after Reset) received an overnight figure of 1.6 million viewers.

Episode Seven, Dead Man Walking, received its first showing on BBC3 this week, where it got an overnight audience of 0.9 million.

Meanwhile, final figures released by BARB gave Episode Four, Meat an official rating of 3.2 million viewers, making it the second most watched programme on BBC2 for the week.

Finally, the AI figure for last week’s Adam was 85, while both the BBC3 premiere and the BBC2 showing of Resetscored 87, the highest score of the series to date.

The BBC have issued a press release reporting on the success of their online iPlayer service.

The report shows the Christmas special Voyage of the Damned as the most watched programme on the service since Christmas Day, with the first threeTorchwood episodes coming in at 3rd, 5th and 10th places respectively (data up to 12th February).

The article reports that the iPlayer service is now reaching up to 500,000 visits a day, with some 17 million programmes watched over its first seven weeks of operation.

DVD bonus material listed as classified by the British Board of Film Classification on their website reveals that the 1986 14-episode Doctor Who storyThe Trial of a Time Lord is to be released on DVD later this year. The serial, which saw the Doctor being placed on trial by his fellow Time Lords, encompassed the entire twenty-third series of Doctor Who, and was the last to star Sixth Doctor Colin Baker.

So far only the extras for the second segment of the serial, popularly known as Mindwarp, have been classified. These include a 20-minute "Making Of" feature; the 1985 Children in Need night feature which saw the largest ever single gathering of regular cast members from the series; and a Lenny Henry Doctor Who sketch.

The Den of Geek website has published interviews with Peter Davison, Louise Jameson and Sophie Aldred.

In the individual pieces, Davison talks about wobbly sets, Time Crash, typecasting, and his opinion on the worst Doctor Who monster ever, Jameson chats about working with Tom Baker, why she turned down returning to play Leela on TV, her view on her character now, and meeting David Tennant, while Aldred discusses working with John Nathan-Turner, along with her career spanning the pre- and post-Who days.

EADT (Suffolk and Essex Online) is currently running an interview with Doctor Who legendTerrance Dicks.

Few people have been as active in the world of Doctor Who as author and former script editor Dicks, and in this interview he talks about his long career with the series as well as his most recent project, the Quick Reads book series, featuring his newest title Revenge of the Judoon.

In the interview, Dicks talks about his first writing jobs (with an advertising agency), how his landlord Malcolm Hulke got him started in writing for television, the new projects that he currently has on his plate, and his feelings about the current state of Doctor Who starring David Tennant.

Assistant headteacher Richard Davies said: "With Doctor Who so popular once again, this is a real coup for the local area and a great opportunity to listen to and meet an author who has had a big impact on the science-fiction genre."

Catherine Tate will be heard interviewing David Tennant on BBC Radio 4 on February 21 when Chain Reaction returns for a new series.

In it, they talk about working on Doctor Who - as well as playing extras on The Bill.

The show's format sees the interviewee becoming the interviewer of a different guest the following week, with them talking to people whose work they admire and appreciate.

Next week (February 28), Tennant will be interviewing Richard Wilson, who played Dr Constantine in The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances, while Wilson's interviewee the week after that (March 6) will be Arabella Weir, who used to lodge with Tennant and made him godfather to her youngest child.

Weir also played the Doctor in the Big Finish drama Exile - which featured Tennant playing an unnamed Time Lord and a pub landlord. (Weir will round off the series of Chain Reaction by interviewing fellow Fast Show star Paul Whitehouse.)

The half-hour programmes start at 6.30pm. The series was recorded last year.

The Digital Spy website is currently featuring an interview with Louise Jameson, the actress who portrayed the companion Leela in the mid-70s alongside Tom Baker's Doctor. The interview mainly focuses on Louise's return to the role of Leela in the Big Finish audios. She talks about the differences in playing Leela now and in the '70s, working with Lalla Ward, and her desire to be invited to work on the new series.

New Zealand's WETA Collectibles has announced a miniature helmet line featuring products from the classic and new series.

From the press release: 'From the Classic Doctor Who series comes a 'Cyberman Leader Helmet,' from the episode Earthshock, and 'Lord President Borusa Head-dress' from Arc of Infinity. Peter Davison plays the Doctor in both episodes, while from the Patrick Troughton episode Seeds of Death comes an 'Ice Warrior Helmet'. Unofficial overnight figures give Episode Five of Torchwood, Adam, an audience of 3.3 million viewers, which was a13.8% share of the total television audience. Both the audience and share are up on the figures for last week.

Episode Six, Reset, which saw the introduction of Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) to the series, was shown on the digital channel, BBC3, immediately following Adam, where it was watched by 807,000 viewers, a 4.5% share of the audience.

Meanwhile, final figures from BARB give Episode Three, To the Last Man a final rating of 3.51 million viewers, putting it once more as the top programme shown on BBC2 for the week.
