Doctor Who, Can You Hear Me?, had an official rating of 4.90 million viewers, according to figures released by the Broadcasting Research Audience Board, BARB.

The episode is the first one to dip below 5 million since the Peter Capaldi story The Eaters of Light in 2017.

The ratings make the episode the 35th most watched programm across all television channels. It had a 21.6% share of the total TV audience.

Doctor Who sliped behind the opposition on ITV, Dancing On Ice, which had 5.26 million viewers.

Top for the week was Call the Midwife on ITV with 8.21 million watching.
