The BBC's Children in Need programme on BBC1/HD broadcast the first trailer for the forthcoming Doctor Who Christmas special, A Christmas Carol, a little after 8:00pm this evening.

The trailer is now available to watch online, via the BBC's official YouTube channel:

The programme is due to be broadcast in both the United Kingdom and United States on Christmas Day.
